COVID-19 INFORMATION

Understanding the threat of COVID-19 and why we are taking this seriously.

1.Village Hall

NOTICE

 

  • As of September 15, 2020, Village Hall will be opened to the public as Governor Ricketts has place the State of Nebraska, with the exception of Lancaster County, as Phase IV.
  • Please note that staff is not masked and will have masks available for public to use if requested.  Hand Sanitation is available.
  • If you are uncomfortable in entering the Village Hall to make a payment, you may put your payment in the drop slot located on the lower left hand corner of the door. However, if you are sick and/or showing symptoms of COVID-19 please do not enter or use the drop slot, you may call into the Village Hall Office at 402-268-3341 and a payment may be made by phone.

2. Fairmont Senior Center

  • Will be closed until further notice
  • Information about the closing is posted on the Village website
  • Home-delivered meal program continues

3. Library

            The Fairmont Public Library can once again open our doors to the Public beginning Sept 9.  

 

            We are asking that patrons wear a mask, respect social distancing, and limit the number of people to 4 in their party who enter the library.

 

            Only two computers will be available for one 30 minute session/day.

No children’s computers or gaming at this time.  No Public Bathroom available.

 

            Our internet will continue to be available from our parking lot. We will continue to offer curb side service. Call ahead (402-366-8012) or use our online catalog, https://fairmont.biblionix.com/catalog/, to reserve materials. 

 

            Now is still a great opportunity to take advantage of our electronic resources. E-books and audiobooks can be downloaded from Overdrive. All you need is your library card number. Please call (402-366-8012) if you have questions about accessing these resources, or anything else, during this time.

The Fairmont Public Library can once again open our doors to the Public beginning Sept 9.  

 

4. Ball Field and Village Parks

  • The parks will remain open for the time being BUT highly discourage large gathering

5.Village Shop

  • The Village Shops will no longer allow people to come into the shops
  • If you need to contact them please contact please call 402-268-3251

6. Public Restrooms

  • Will be closed as well until further notice

  • High risk employees will be handled accordingly based on individual circumstances.
  • They are not required to report to work if they choose not to
  • As of now Village Hall remains open. HOWEVER foot traffic into the building is highly discouraged. If you need to come inside the building please call to make an appointment. The following will be posted on the front door of Village Hall:
  •        During this time please make any payments for utility billing in the drop box located at the front door of Village Hall. Please contact Village Hall by phone to make arrangements. Please do not use drop box for payment if you are sick and/or showing symptoms of COVID-19.
  • If you have questions or concerns please contact Village Hall at 402-268-3341 during normal business hours. We will keep you informed as things change throughout this event.
