Fire Department and Rescue Unit
Fairmont Fire Department continues to serve the greater community, which is 75 square miles in size. The Department is an all volunteer agency which includes fire fighting, emergency medical service, extrication and search and rescue. The Fire Department inventory includes one pumper truck, a tanker, one quick response grass rig and a rescue unit.
Fairmont is proud of the men and women who donate their time and training to serve on the Volunteer Fire Department and rescue Unit. A full-service hospital is within 10 minutes of Fairmont.
